The Juice Girl is spreading awareness about the importance of getting screened for breast cancer. Owner Lisa Watson has partnered up with the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Center to donate 100 bottles of fresh juice to those individuals suffering from cancer.

The Juice Girl delivers fresh juices to local doorsteps. Watson started the business through Hope and Main about three years ago. She put the business on hold with the birth of her son, but then picked it up again recently when Covid-19 hit. “The demand for healthier options increased. At the same time, traditional shopping habits were changing,” Watson says. “Rather than going into stores, people started looking to home delivery. Friends and family also began asking me when I would be making juice again and I realized it was the right time to get back in the kitchen.”

She plans to use her juice delivery business to help those suffering from cancer, and encourages women to get regular mammograms, as one in eight women may develop breast cancer. Watson sources mostly from local farms and markets, and most of her products are compostable. The juices come in flavors like Vitamin C (orange, tumeric, carrots, lemon), Cran-Apple, the Zinger (beets, ginger, carrot, lemon), Cleanse (lemon, maple, ginger, filtered water) and Celery Juice. Plus you can order a Mix-and-Match six-pack or shot packs.

“Juice is a great way to get the nutrition your body needs in a bottle,” Watson says. “We wanted to provide those suffering from loss of appetite with more nutrition to help their body fight the disease and we knew Gloria Gemma would make a great partner because of all they are doing for the cancer community.”
