Last week, St. Louis Juice Press, formerly at 4701 S. Kingshighway Blvd. for four years, moved west to 5110 Hampton Ave. in St. Louis Hills. And with the business finding increasing success in the last few months, they outgrew their original location.
“We needed more space,” said owner Mary Whebbe. “Our business has grown, so we figured it [was] time for us to move. [We’re] in the middle of the restaurant hub [on Hampton], it’s been wonderful. It’s spacious, it’s fresh,” said Whebbe of the new spot.
The new space is about 685 square feet, up from 280 square feet at the last location. The juice bar remains a grab-and-go operation. With juices like pineapple-orange-ginger, beet-orange, and carrot-pineapple-orange-lime, St. Louis Juice Press features fresh and natural ingredients to create optimal blends. They also have a seasonal cranberry-pear juice. In particular though, their juice cleanses are quite popular, with the three-day and the five-day packages being some of the most common cleanses.“[Our] juice cleanses refresh and restart your body,” said Whebbe. “We can customize a seven-day, a two-day – we’ll customize for everyone.”
And speaking of “everyone,” St. Louis Juice Press is not unfamiliar with catering to both civilians and celebrities alike. “We used to do juice for the Blues,” said Whebbe. “[Recently], we’ve done juice for Maroon 5, for the Rolling Stones, for the Surge [women’s basketball team]. Maroon 5 gave us a shout-out at their concert, which was amazing. I was hoping Mick Jagger would give us a shout-out, but I heard he went with Crown Candy [Kitchen] instead,” Whebbe said with a laugh.
St. Louis Juice Press is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
