In the last year I have made an effort to enjoy food with less sugar and fewer artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners. I may not always succeed, but I'm trying. Recently, the company That's it. sent over some of their non-GMO natural fruit bars with no sugar added for us to try and they fit nicely with my quest to enjoy healthier snacks.
Snacking is great. I love to snack and have a couple snacks every day. But so many of the packaged snacks that are easy to enjoy on the go are loaded with sugar and the artificial stuff I am trying to avoid.
The fruit bars I tried from That's it. have 2 ingredients: Fruit and Fruit. Seriously, that's it!
The bars are basically pressed and juiced fruit in bar form. They are chewy, soft, fruity and quite good.
As you can see below, the full size bars are a good size snack with around 4 bites. I thought they tasted great alone and I also really enjoyed them with some almond butter spread on top.
Again, they are chewy but they are not rubbery like sugary fruit snacks or roll-ups.
Of all the flavors they sent, I like the strawberry and apple bar most because I love strawberries. It's my favorite fruit. But I liked all of the bars enough to eat them again. As a matter of fact, I had the Mango Fruit Bar this afternoon - for my snack, of course.
In addition to the regular Fruit Bars, they also offer Fruit Bars with Prebiotics + Probiotics. Honestly, they did not taste any different than the regular fruit bars, but they do have "2 billion live cultures added to improve gut health and aid digestion," according to the company. I did not count them, so I'm just going to have to take their word for it on the live culture count.
I have seen the That's it. bars at a couple stores in the area so far including Publix and Lowes Foods. You can see all the places they are available on their website.
I thoroughly enjoyed the That's it. Fruit Bars and I plan to add them to my snack rotation.
