Main Squeeze Juice Co., a Louisiana-based juice and smoothie bar franchise whose ownership group includes native Houstonian and New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead, opened in Pearland. Jeff Drost operates the store at 12568 Broadway St. in the FM 518 & Kingsley Shopping Center. The chain has 14 locations in Texas and Louisiana, including shops in Atascocita, Conroe, Fulshear, Katy, Sugar Land, Webster and The Woodlands.
JuiceLand opened in the Bellaire Town Center at 5103 Bellaire Blvd. Founded by Matt Shook in 2011, the Austin-based chain offers a plant-based menu with juice, smoothies and food. The new shop, near several fitness studios including Club Pilates and Defy Pilates, is one of six locations the Houston market and 35 in Texas.
Zoa Moroccan Kitchen leased 860 square feet at 6700 S. Rice in Bellaire. The space was previously occupied by Snap Kitchen. Chris Powell represented the landlord, Pipeline Realty. Karol Snyder with Moseley Commercial and Neha Abassi with Friedman Real Estate represented the tenant.
Kumon Math and Reading Program will open a 1,300-square-foot location in the Bridgeland community in Lakeland Village Center, at 10615 Fry Road, in January. Jacob Weersing with Capital Retail Properties represented the landlord, Howard Hughes Corp. Kumon will join CVS Pharmacy, F45 Training, Active Life Dentistry, Athletistry Performing Arts, Bridgeland Fine Wines, L3 Craft Coffee, Le Macaron, Local Bar, Local Table and Shaka Power Yoga and other businesses in the center. It will be the 17th location in the Houston area for Kumon, which provides curricula for students age three through high school.
Dickey’s Barbecue leased 2,520 square feet in Nassau Bay Town Center, at 1850 E. NASA Parkway in Nassau Bay. Eddie Lang of Quenby Commercial represented the tenant. Wes Miller of Wulfe & Co. represented the landlord.
Coats Jewelers leased 1,600 square feet in Liberty Shopping Center, at Texas 146 and North Main Street in Liberty. Sarah Thobae with Weitzman represented the landlord. Other tenants in the center include Cato, GameStop and Yamato Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi.
America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses opened in New Forest Crossing at 5807 E. Sam Houston Parkway North in northeast Houston. The shop, which offers a free eye exam with the purchase of two pairs of eyeglasses for $69.95, is part of National Vision, an optical retail company with more than 1,000 stores in the U.S.
Puff Zone Smoke & Vape Shop leased 1,500 square feet at Corrigan Plaza, 5402 Broadway St., Pearland. Jim Thompson and Benny Nguyen of Resolut RE represented the landlord.
