The Brazilian fruit industry reached the mark of US$ 1 billion in fruit exports in 2021. The country sent around 1.2 million tons of fruit to the international market , 18% more in volume registered in the last year. Revenue was US$ 1.060 billion, which amounts to growth of 20%.
According to the Brazilian Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Derivatives (ABRAFRUTAS), sales to the international market became attractive and were intensified with the appreciation of the dollar and euro against the real. The weather was another factor that favored production, good harvests were carried out, that is, there was an increase in productivity and quality, especially the crops that are at the top of exports.
