Presenting an abstract puzzle experience like Genesis Noir, Chapter 1 of Gorogoa begins with a boy protagonist seeking a red fruit, one of the key objects needed to encounter a giant mystical beast. During the opening of the chapter, a cutscene plays featuring a multi-colored creature as tall as residential buildings moving across the city. A young boy with a red shirt similar to Inside emerges and looks through a book, searching for similarities with the beast outside.
At last, he comes upon a page with what appears to be the creature and two people holding up a bowl. Click on the page and the bowl to zoom into the picture. The boy momentarily considers something and then leaves from the viewable screen. From this point, the player can drag the window frame onto another cell to the right. Click on the minus button to zoom out. Clicking the arrow button that appears, move slightly to the right to see the boy searching inside a closet. He will remember the image he saw in the book and pick up the blue bowl sitting on a shelf.
Once the boy freezes, the player can progress through this Genesis Noir-like stylish abstract adventure. Now, click on the first door with the red marking to zoom into the picture. Next, drag the frame of the rooftop onto the cell with the boy in the closet. As the boy leaves the dark pantry, select the left arrow on the first cell. A sickly person in a wheelchair will appear as a raven lands on the branch of a nearby tree. Click on the raven to get a closer look at it.
How to Get Red Fruit in Gorogoa
Next, drag the second cell's frame of the boy and bring it down to the empty cell below. By zooming out of the darkroom, the screen will move to a small hallway with a painting. Click on the painting to merge it with the first cell on the top right.
Notice that the boy placed the blue bowl on a chimney. Players will find the red fruit's solution using the environment like in The Pedestrian. The three cells will become a single entity by clicking and focusing on the blue bowl. Once this happens, the raven will fly off the branch, shaking the apple-like fruit into the bowl. Finally, the boy will approach the bowl, and after realizing that it is one of the objects needed from his book, he will pick up the red fruit and leave the player's view. Thus, with the red fruit found, the first chapter of Gorogoa comes to a close.
