In addition to making miraculous catches on the largest sports stage in the world, former New York Giants wide receiver David Tyree is also apparently a budding restaurateur.
Tyree and his wife Leilah celebrated the grand opening of their restaurant, Clean Juice, at 86 South St. in Morristown on Saturday morning.
“Clean Juice stood out to me immediately, and its brand philosophy matched the high standards and principles I set for myself and my family,” David Tyree said in a release. “Integrity was a cornerstone virtue I valued while playing in the NFL and carries through today as a father, husband, team member, and business owner.”
“We are proud to introduce Clean Juice and its healthy, organic menu to our community,” he added.
Clean Juice is an organic juice bar franchise that serves acai bowls, smoothies, juices, cold-pressed shots and salads coined as “greenoa.”
The Morristown location is the 100th Clean Juice shop to open in United States.
A spokesman for the restaurant could not be reached Saturday evening to comment on whether or not there were plans for any other Garden State locations.
Tyree became a household name after his clutch “helmet catch” that served as the turning point in the Giants’ Super Bowl XLII victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots.
He recently left his position as Director of Player Engagement for the Giants after serving in the position for the last few years.
