The main destinations are the European Union, the Russian Federation, and the United States, among others.

Argentina also exported blueberries, grapes, kiwis, pomegranates, and cherries, among other fruits.

The main destinations for fresh lemon exports were Russia with 57,932 tons, the U.S. with 33,536 tons, the Netherlands with 31,829 tons, and Spain with 25,171 tons.

While the main destinations for orange shipments were Paraguay with 21,841 tons, the Netherlands with 13,284 tons, Russia with 9,772 tons, Spain with 6,880 tons, and Iraq with 2,678 tons.

Luis Basterra, the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries stated, “This achievement is due to the combined efforts of Argentine producers and Senasa. Senasa had to adapt its tasks and adjust controls to continue certifying exports from the agri-food and agro-industrial complex in the framework of the pandemic, demonstrating that the institutions can be strengthened in difficult times if there are accompanying public policies.”
