Pawpaw fruit, as Ed predicted

2021-08-16 - Adair Co., KY - Photo By Larry Clark.

Larry writes, "I remember speaking with Ed a few years ago about about all things paw paws. During our conversation he said he liked to see things from start to finish. So I took pictures throughout that year, from the bloom to the big ripe paw paws. I told him that I had luck getting some seedlings growing that year. I asked him if he knew how long they would take to bear fruit he said about seven years. Last year was the seventh, and the first year they had any blooms, so Ed was spot on, but, unfortunately, they froze.

This year however is a different story. I am submitting these pictures of my trees this year. I believe Mr. Ed Waggener would have liked them. --Larry"
