A popular Australian juice brand has collapsed after entering voluntary administration.
Hrvst St cold pressed juices and Real Friends will no longer be sold through high-end clients such as restaurants and hotels after its administrator “pulled the pin” on October 31.
The business owners confirmed the company would be no more in an Instagram post, saying their “hearts are ripped into pieces” by the news.
“This is not something we ever wanted to happen but it is with tears in our eyes and lumps in our throats, time to say goodbye,” a company spokesman wrote on social media.
“Unfortunately the administrator pulled the pin this afternoon. It all happened extremely fast.”
ASIC documents show Andrew Weatherley was appointed administrator of HRVST ST Pty Ltd, which runs the two brands, on October 25.
Just two days later, the company was assuring customers that it was “business as usual”.
“We are determined to keep the wheels turning and if you know us personally we are extremely resilient, who always strive to go above and beyond,” a company spokesman wrote on October 27.
Domenico Calabretta and Andrew Quinn of Mackay Goodwin were appointed as receiver managers by October 30.
Fans and clients of the cult juice brand were quick to express their sadness at the news.
